A clean city is a joy to behold! But most Indian cities are in different levels of uncleanliness and unhygienic conditions and result in ‘Joylessness’. You are welcome to be a part of this!

Project 1: ‘Streets with No Garbage’ must be the ultimate goal for the residents of each Street’ Source segregation by residents of street must become a way of life Degradable waste will be collected on door to door basis for a fee. Those who compost their bio-degradable waste can do so utilizing a home compost system and generate organic fertilizer. Join this Joy Mission!

Project 2: ‘Streets with No Open Toilet’. This is based on the fact that ‘Nature Wastes Nothing’, ‘Urine and Faeces can be converted into organic fertilizer / compost. ‘Joypreneur Interprises’ empowers local social workers to set-up and maintain ‘Nature-Call Rooms’ to collect urine and faces at street corners and high traffic areas (where locals people / passers are already using as an open toilet. The urine will be diluted and (the urea fertilizer solution) used to rejuvenate barren land. And the faeces turned into compost and used as fertilizer for forest trees. Join this Joy Mission!

Green City Mission

Green spaces will create oxygen and also cool the environment and be a source of Joy to people. Innovative projects have been developed along with Joypreneur Interprise to enhance green cover! You are welcome to be a part of this!

Project 1: ‘Green-wrap’ services for building; with multiple options to choose from, are provided whereby any building can have a green / vegetation surrounding their building premises and thereby ‘grow their own oxygen’! The grey water from the buildings could also be utilized to fertilize the plants and makes it sustainable. Join this Joy Mission!

Safe Citizen Mission

Safety of women and children in society is an important aspect as cities get populated. Joy Mission in association with Democracy Excellence offers ‘Street Parliament Authority Network’ (SPAN) a unique people participative program based on sociocratic micro (individual) macro (societal) management model. Through SPAN residents of streets and neighbourhoods can develop a caring and protecting attitude towards one another rather than a random opportunistic predatory attitude, which infringes into others right (to joy). Local associations can initiate SPAN in localities that are vulnerable and prone to gender violence and crime. Join this Joy Mission!

Healthy Citizen Mission

India, along with most other nations, has fallen victim to a lethal modern day scourge — non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Cardiovascular diseases, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases and diabetes could cost the world $47 trillion in lost economic output from 2010 to 2030 if urgent action is not taken to prevent and treat them, say experts.

India’s condition is particularly serious. NCDs are estimated to account for a chilling 60 per cent of all deaths in India, making them the leading cause of death — ahead of injuries and of communicable, maternal, prenatal, and nutritional conditions.

The present measuring of government and nation performance with GDP parameters has turned nations into balance sheets. The Joy and happiness of citizens and environment has totally been ignored for decades. ‘Joy Indices’ are needed in order to sense the true needs of the people and identify anti-joy issues specifically, so that resources for appropriate intervention can be marshalled for the emancipation of these situations.

All ‘smart cities’ under development, in India and around the world need to do ‘Joy Indices’ program to evaluate the ‘joy’ aspect of citizens, which is very important (‘smart’ cites that are sans ‘joy’ is meaningless!).
