The present measuring of government and nation performance with GDP parameters has turned nations into balance sheets. The Joy and happiness of citizens and environment has totally been ignored for decades. ‘Joy Indices’ are needed in order to sense the true needs of the people and identify anti-joy issues specifically, so that resources for appropriate intervention can be marshalled for the emancipation of these situations.
